Wisconsin Woman Dies After Multiple-Vehicle Crash In Waukegan
Three vehicles involved in a crash at Lewis Avenue and Yorkhouse Road in Waukegan on Sunday sustained heavy damage; one person was killed.
A 64-year-old woman was killed following a vehicle crash involving three vehicles on Waukegan’s north side Sunday morning, authorities said.
The Waukegan Police Department and Waukegan Fire Department responded around 8:38 a.m. Sunday to the intersection of Lewis Avenue and Yorkhouse Road for a vehicle crash with injuries.

Officers arrived and found multiple vehicles involved in the crash. Three ambulances were called to the scene.
Paramedics transported a 64-year-old woman to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville where she was pronounced dead two hours later.

An autopsy was performed on the victim, identified as Maria Gloria, of Kenosha, on Monday by the Lake County Coroner’s Office.
Lake County Coroner Jennifer Banek said Gloria died as a result of multiple blunt force injuries from the crash.
The Waukegan Police Department has not released any information on the crash and it is unknown how it was caused or if any citations have been issued.
Northbound Yorkhouse Road at Lewis Avenue and southbound Yorkhouse Road just north of Lewis Avenue were closed for around eight hours on Sunday.
The investigation into the woman’s death is ongoing by the Lake County Coroner’s Office and the crash remains under investigation by the Waukegan Police Department.
