Woman Wanted In New Jersey Arrested In Libertyville

Libertyville police officers responded to several crimes reported during the end of February 2020.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL —

Out of state warrant

Libertyville police officers were called to the 1500 block of Artaius Parkway at 12:08 p.m. Friday to help authorities from New Jersey find a woman who had an active warrant out for her arrest. When officers arrived, they found and identified 34-year-old Stephanie Wollar, from the 330 block of North Avenue in Libertyville, and arrested her on the warrant. She was taken to the Libertyville Police Department where she was processed and cited on accusations of fugitive from justice (leaving a state to avoid punishment for a crime). Wollar was then taken to the Lake County Jail to await extradition to New Jersey.

Driving under the influence, traffic offenses

A Libertyville police officer saw a car run a red light at the intersection of Park Avenue and Butterfield Road at 12:22 a.m. Saturday while conducting routine patrol. According to police, the officer pulled over the car at S. Dymond Road at Park Avenue, and the driver was identified as 30-year-old Ryan C. Hansen. Police observed several signs of impairment while talking to Hansen, and he was asked to perform a series of field sobriety tests. He was then arrested and taken to the Libertyville Police Department due to the results of the tests. He was released after posting his driver's license and signing a $1,000 personal recognizance bond. Hansen faces charges of DUI of BAC .08 or more, DUI, and disobeying a traffic control device, and his pending court date is listed as March 20 in Lake County.

The officer pulled over the car at Peterson at U.S. Highway 45 and the driver was identified as Josue Albavera, 26, of the 2150 block of N. Oakbrook Circle in Palatine. Police observed several signs of impairment while talking to Albavera, and he was asked to perform a series of field sobriety tests. He was then arrested and taken to the Libertyville Police Department due to the results of the tests. Albavera was released after posting his driver's license and signing a $1,000 personal recognizance bond. He faces charges of DUI of BAC .08 or more, DUI, and improper lane usage, and his pending court date is listed as March 20 in Lake County.
