Santa Hustle Brings Holiday Cheer to Chicago’s Lakefront

Get on Santa’s nice list for the Chicago Santa Hustle 5K and Kids Dash on Saturday, December 7 starting and ending at Chicago’s Navy Pier. The event kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with the Kids Dash for children ages two to ten, followed by the 5K along Chicago’s lakefront starting at 9 a.m. Event proceeds will benefit Cal’s Angels, a nonprofit organization that provides support for children fighting cancer, along with their families.

Santa Hustle is celebrating its 16th year spreading holiday cheer through this festive event. Adult participants can “ho ho hustle” their way to the finish line in ugly holiday sweaters, and beanies included with registration. Holiday music and cheer will abound throughout the course and runners and/or walkers can enjoy cookie and candy stations at the finish line.

"Whether you're a seasoned runner, a leisurely walker, or a parent pushing a child in a stroller, Santa Hustle offers a cherished holiday experience for everyone," said Randi Schooley of the Santa Hustle Race Series, the event producer. "We invite everyone to either come out and continue this beloved holiday tradition or establish a new one with family and friends."

Cal’s Angels is the nonprofit partner for the Chicago Santa Hustle. The organization has donated more than $1 million to local hospitals and distributed more than 125,000 toys through their “Grant a Wish” program, which serves children with a cancer diagnosis. Santa Hustle Race Series is honored to again partner with this very worthy organization and help them to continue their valuable work serving our communities.

Awards and customized Santa Hustle medals will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each age category during an epic after party at Navy Pier. All participants who cross the finish line will receive a cheery keepsake finisher medal.
