• Lockport Heroes 2026 Banner Program Opens In January (patch.com) — Lockport residents can start applying Jan. 11 for the 2026 Lockport Heroes Banner program, which honors local service members with banners displayed downtown from Memorial Day to Veterans Day. Honorees must have strong Lockport ties, and banners cost $150, with a discounted $50 option to reuse existing banners and part of the proceeds supporting Lockport VFW Post 5788.
