Antique Tractor & Steam Engine Show Coming To Manhattan

The Will County Threshermen's Association will host the event July 21-24.

MANHATTAN, IL — People with a passion for agriculture, engines, steam engines, tractors and machinery will be in for a treat when the Will County Threshermen's Association's 60th annual show July 21-24 in Manhattan.

The show is scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at Spiess Farm, 14151 W. Arsenal Road in Manhattan. Admission is $7 for adults and $3 for children daily. Admission is cash only, and there is no ATM onsite.

  • Working steam engines.
  • Steam powered sawmill
  • Daily parade of power, tractor and machinery exhibits.
  • Fieldwork demonstrations.
  • Food and concessions.
  • Craft and flea market.
  • Antique tractor pull.
  • Garden tractor pull.
  • Kids tractor pull.
  • Kids activities.
  • Horse and wagon rides.
  • Frankfort Brass Band live music.
  • Civil War Living History exhibit.

This year the show will also host "George & June Schaaf’s Grand Finale," featuring a selection of prairie tractors on display. This will be the last place the public can view these tractors before they go to auction with Mecum Gone Farmin’ at a live, on-site auction Sep. 30 through Oct. 1 in Frankfort.
