Easter 2022: What's Hop-ening In Manhattan?
Easter is April 17, but that's not stopping some Manhattan organizations from hosting Easter-themed events earlier than that.
MANHATTAN, IL — Spring has sprung, and Easter is right around the corner. That means it's time for egg decorating, egg hunts, visits from the Eater bunny and more in Manhattan. While Easter isn't until April 17, there are plenty of Easter-themed events happening in town before then. Patch is keeping a list of where to find kid and family-friendly events in town. Check out some of the events in the list below.
- Bunny Ear Headbands at the Manhattan-Elwood Public Library District, 240 Whitson St. in Manhattan - April 4-9 during library hours. Stop in the Manhattan-Elwood Public Library District's Youth Department to craft your own bunny ear headbands. Supplies will be available for this free event.
- Easter Egg Hunt at Central Park, 110 S. Park St. in Manhattan - Two time slots are available April 9 at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. For children ages 2-10. This is a free event hosted by the Manhattan Park District. Registration is required. To register, contact the Manhattan Park District at (815) 478-3324.
- Pictures with the Easter Bunny at Manhattan Crafts and Gifts, 130 Market Place in Manhattan - April 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for pictures with children, and from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. for pictures with pets. Bring your cameras and get some photos taken with the Easter Bunny, and Mickey and Minnie Mouse outside of Manhattan Crafts and Gifts. This is a free event.
- Easter Egg Craft at the Manhattan-Elwood Public Library District, 240 Whitson St. in Manhattan - April 11-16 during library hours. Drop in the Manhattan-Elwood Public Library District's Youth Department to make your own Easter eggs. Supplies will be available for this free event.
