Video Reveals Who Set Bathroom Fires at Suburban Amazon Facility: Police
The three fires were set late Monday night, police said.
MONEE, IL — An 18-year-old worker at a Monee Amazon facility faces attempted arson charges after police said he set three fires inside the facility Monday night.
At around 8:30 p.m. April 21, Monee Fire was dispatched to three separate fires at the Amazon Fulfillment Center. Upon arrival, the small fires were quickly extinguished.
Monee Fire investigators determined the fires to be intentionally set, police said Tuesday. The state fire marshal and the MABAS 27 Fire Investigation Team were contacted, along with Monee Police detectives.

All three fires were set in bathrooms. The facility was evacuated, pending investigation.
A review of surveillance video identified an employee who was in the area of all three fires, which were set on different floors, police said. While investigators processed the scene, pictures of the suspect were passed to police, who started looking for the person in the crowd around the parking lot. At around 11 p.m., police said Elijah P. Fields-Facko, 18, was identified as a suspect and arrested.

He is charged with attempted arson, police said.
