Police Seek Help ID'ing Man Pulled From Kankakee River
The man's body was found shortly after noon Friday after authorities responded to a possible drowning.

KANKAKEE, IL — Authorities are asking for the public's help identifying a man whose body was pulled from the Kankakee River on Friday.
At approximately 12:06 p.m. on June 13, the Kankakee City Fire and Police Departments were notified of a possible drowning on the Kankakee River just north of the Bird Park Boat Ramp. Civilian bystanders indicated the location of a submerged individual downstream of the Fisherman's Park area.
The Kankakee Fire Department launched a rescue boat and located a deceased male in the Kankakee River shortly before 12:25 p.m.

The Kankakee County Coroner's Office said it is requesting the public's assistance in identifying the man.

According to authorities, the man is believed to be Hispanic and is 5 feet 10 inches tall. He weighs approximately 168 pounds. Authorities said he was wearing black jogger pants, a maroon T-shirt, and gray and white Adidas tennis shoes.
Authorities said he likely would have last been seen Tuesday around 10 p.m. near the Court Street bridge and surrounding areas.
If anyone knows someone matching this description, they should contact the Kankakee County Coroner's Office, the Kankakee City Police Department or the KanComm Dispatch Center.
The details of the drowning remain under investigation. Kankakee police and fire were assisted by the Kankakee County Coroner's Office, Sheriff's Department, and Illinois Conservation Police.
