Village Of Mokena: Village Board Adopts Budget
The Mokena Village Board recently adopted the Village's fiscal year 2023 budget at its June 13 meeting.

MOKENA, IL — The Mokena Village Board recently adopted the Village’s fiscal year 2023 budget. Action came at the Board’s June 13 meeting following a public hearing and budget presentation by Village Administrator John Tomasoski.
The budget includes overall revenues of $40.4 million and expenditures of $49.8 million, with the gap between revenues and expenditures attributable to the anticipated expenditure in fiscal year 2023 of capital outlay monies escrowed in past years for necessary and planned upgrades to the Village’s wastewater treatment plant, along with the construction of a new public safety facility.
The budget further allocates monies for key infrastructure improvements and provides funding for a new Village comprehensive plan, a community-wide tree survey, and additional automated license plate reader cameras.
