$100K Donation To Help Fund Pickleball Courts In Naperville
The donation will go toward the construction of pickleball courts at Frontier Sports Complex.

NAPERVILLE, IL — A private donation of $100,000 to the Naperville Park District will be used to build pickleball courts at Frontier Sports Complex.
"This generous donation will allow the park district to build more courts to accommodate the ever-expanding interest in pickleball," Naperville Park District Executive Director Ray McGury said in a news release.
McGury added,"Pickleball is popular with active older adults but is a game that can be enjoyed by all ages. We look forward to seeing more kids enjoy this game along with their families."

The donation was made by Jim Rothermel, so the park district will vote on a proposal to name the new courts "The Rothermel Family Pickleball Courts" after a 60-day waiting period.
Currently, the Naperville Park District has pickleball courts at Ashbury Park, DuPage River Sports Complex, Knoch Park, Nike Sports Complex and Ranchview Park.
