2 Wilton Sprinkles Mixes Recalled Over Milk Allergy Concerns

Illinois-based Wilton Industries, Inc. issued a recall on two of its sprinkles mixes after they were found to contain milk.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Illinois-based Wilton Industries, Inc. has issued a voluntary nationwide recall on two of its sprinkles products after finding that the items contained milk.

The affected products are the Rainbow Sprinkles Mix and Rainbow Chip Crunch Sprinkles. Wilton officials say the product labels indicate the items may contain milk, but that some recent samples positively detected the presence of milk.

"People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. The health and safety of our consumers is Wilton’s primary concern and Wilton is acting with the highest degree of caution and urgency to address this issue," a June 2 news release said.
