3 Shops Cited For Selling Nicotine Products To Minors In Naperville

Three businesses were cited during the Naperville Police Department's recent tobacco compliance check.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville police recently cited three businesses for selling tobacco and nicotine products to minors.

The shops were among 84 businesses that were evaluated during the compliance check. Police say the following businesses sold tobacco or nicotine products to shoppers who were younger than 21 years old:

  • Casey’s, 1290 S. Rte. 59
  • Smoke N Talk, 5019 Ace Ln.
  • Smoke O Vapor, 686 S. Rte. 59

The Naperville Police Department uses grant money from the Illinois Department of Human Services Tobacco Enforcement Program to educate businesses about age limits for buying tobacco and alternative nicotine products. Businesses are given informational packets and reminded of the importance of verifying a customer's age before selling nicotine products.
