30-Home Subdivision Proposed For Aurora Avenue In Naperville
The city's planning and zoning commission will review a proposal for a development called Charleston Place at its Wednesday meeting.

NAPERVILLE, IL — The Naperville Planning and Zoning Commission will request Wednesday to build a 30-home subdivision development at 1103 Aurora Rd.
The development, called Charleston Place, has been proposed by Charleston Investments, LLC, the contractors behind the Charleston Row developments in downtown Naperville.
Per city documents, the development would occupy just over seven acres, with two entrances on Aurora Avenue. Each of the 30 lots would occupy between 6,002 square feet and 11,343 square feet.

The site is currently zoned RIA, which lots of up to 10,000 square feet. The petitioner seeks to have the site rezoned to TU, or transitional use zoning, to accommodate the development's larger lots.
Charleston Investments, LLC, is proposing single-family homes of up to 3,600 square feet, comprised of two to four bedrooms. Each home would have a garage to accommodate at least two cars.

Ahead of Wednesday's meeting, two public comments were submitted to the planning and zoning commission by neighboring residents, both of whom wrote that they support the proposed development.
The planning and zoning committee will review the proposal at its March 19 meeting, which is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Naperville Municipal Center.
