$300K In Damage Caused In Fire At Vacant Home In Naperville

A firefighter also sustained a minor injury in the blaze, which broke out early Monday.

NAPERVILLE, IL — A firefighter sustained a minor injury while battling an early morning fire that caused $300,000 in damage to a home in Naperville Monday.

Fire crews were called to the 700 Block of 24W. 75th St. around 3:45 a.m. after someone called to report they saw smoke in the area. When firefighters got to the scene, they found "heavy fire on all floors" of a vacant single-story home, per a news release.

It took 90 minutes to contain the blaze, and crews stayed onsite for three more hours to make sure everything was fully extinguished.

The firefighter who was hurt was released shortly after being evaluated. Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
