5 Candidates Up For 4 Seats On District 203 Board: Election 2025

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville voters head to the polls Tuesday to choose from a pool of five candidates to fill four seats on the Naperville Community Unit School District 203 Board of Education.

Each elected board member will serve a four-year term.

Here's how the list of candidates will appear on the ballot for voters.

Holly Joy Blastic

An attorney based in Naperville, Holly Joy Blastic has volunteered on the DuPage County Advisory Council and with AgeGuide, a nonprofit that offers support services for senior citizens. She has four children who attend District 203 schools. Blastic is also a founding member of Moms Demand Action's Naperville chapter, per her campaign bio.

Blastic's priorities for District 203 include fostering a "learning environment that ignites inquiry and creativity in our students and encourages them to follow an educational path that best serves their unique talents and needs," according to her campaign site. She also aims to lessen gaps in student achievement and use property taxes to support a "resilient and future-minded budget."

Marc Willensky

Marc Willensky is a former CPA who has worked as a Senior Director of Global Business Services for McDonald's and was part of the team that opened the American Standard Shared Services Center, per his campaign bio. Willensky and his family have lived in Naperville for 12 years.

Willensky's platform includes fiscal responsibility, educational excellence and inclusivity as priorities. His campaign website states, "Marc’s background in finance and as a former CPA makes him perfectly qualified to ensure that school district 203 makes the most of every dollar to support our students, teachers, and make sure we remain leaders in our educational community."
He also encourages partnering with nonprofit organizations to provide more mental health resources for district students.

Amanda McMillen

Amanda McMillen has served on the District 203 board since 2021. A licensed clinical social worker, McMillen is the Executive Director of Alive Center. She is also a member of the Illinois State Board of Education Social Emotional Learning Standards Revision Committee. McMillen has four children who attend District 203 schools.

Per her campaign website, McMillen's priorities include offering more dual-credit programs for students, supporting social-emotional learning and accessible counseling in schools and improving diversity, equity and inclusion in the district.

McMillen's campaign website states, "As your school board representative, my focus will be on ensuring the success and well-being of every student in our district. Below are the key areas I will prioritize to create an inclusive, high-achieving, and supportive learning environment."

Jillian Langer

Jillian Langer served in the United States Army and describes herself as a "data-driven professional that will demand transparency and accountability for our tax dollars," per her campaign website. Langer serves as the Home and School President at Maplebrook Elementary.

Langer's campaign priorities include eliminating waste, and working to "ensure the school district is utilizing their funding properly." She also aims to expand student access to mental wellness support services.

Charles Cush
Charles Cush has been a District 203 board member since 2016. He has worked as a marketing and sales executive for Johnson and Johnson and Baxter Healthcare, per the District 203 website. Cush served as a board member for Baxter International Foundation and has volunteered with the United Way Men's Read Program and Junior Achievement USA. He has two children who are alumni of District 203.

Cush's campaign priorities include financial stewardship, student growth and preparing students for college. On his campaign website, Cush writes that he will focus on "[m]aintaining a responsible approach to district spending, ensuring that we are getting results for the investment that the community is making in our schools."

On Election Day, the polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
