Adopt Me! Cissy, Ace, Macabilly and Quincy
Looking for a new furry friend? A variety of adoptable pets are waiting for homes at area shelters.
Cissy is a loving, 1-year-old female domestic shorthair. She was found as a stray with a whole litter of kittens. Cissy was a great mom and now that all of her kittens have been adopted, she’s looking for a forever home to call her own. She can be a bit shy in new situations, so school age kids would be best. She enjoys the company of most other animals and once she gets to know somebody, she loves to snuggle and be a lap cat. This beautiful kitty would love to meet you, so come in today!
Ace is a 10-month-old male boxer mix. He came to NAHS when his owner became ill and could no longer care for him. He’s an active guy who loves to play with toys. Ace is still very much a puppy, so kids in his new home should be old enough to handle his playful style. He enjoys spending time with other dogs, but is a little too active for any feline friends. This handsome fella would love to get to know you, so stop by NAHS to meet him today!
More dogs and cats are available at the Naperville Area Humane Society. All the animals have been examined for health and temperament, started on their vaccines and microchipped. They are spayed or neutered at adoption. Hours are 5 to 8 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Visit at 1620 W. Diehl Rd. in Naperville or online at www.napervilleareahumanesociety.org.

Macabilly a/k/a Big Mac - is a domestic short hair gray tabby mix that is 3-1/2 years old and has been at A.D.O.P.T. since February of this year. He is a very mild mannered laidback kind of a cat who doesn't leap in paws first. Instead, given a little time, he will shower you with head butts and purrs and a lot of lap time. You could say that he is level headed when it comes to relationships and he won't disappoint you.
Quincy was surrendered to A.D.O.P.T. because he was too active for their 5-year-old child. Quincy is a playful 6-month-old Beagle. In true Beagle fashion, Quincy keeps his nose to the grounds on walks. He is very curious of his surroundings. Since Quincy was surrendered as a puppy, A.D.O.P.T. has been teaching him some manners at obedience school. Quincy would do best in a home with older children to maintain and advance his manners.
For more information about any of the cats and dogs we have available for adoption, please contact A.D.O.P.T. Pet Shelter at 630-355-2299. The shelter is a no-kill, nonprofit, animal shelter at 420 Industrial Drive, Waterville. Visit us at www.adoptpetshelter.org.
