Adopt Me! Tanner, Finn, Bailey and Tyler

Check out these dogs and cats waiting for home at area animal shelters.

Tanner is an 8-year-old male, front declawed, buff tabby domestic shorthair.  He came to when his owner couldn’t keep him anymore due to allergies.  While waiting for a special home, Tanner is one of the official people greeters in the front lobby.  He loves getting attention and enjoys meeting new people.  Tanner can live with kids, other cats and other dogs.  This handsome, loveable guy won’t disappoint, so come meet him today!

Finn is a 4-year-old male Spaniel mix who was abandoned at a shelter in Indiana.  He’s made his way to Naperville to find a new home to call his own.  Finn is an active, playful dog who has been known to scale 8-foot fences, so he’d love a family who can give him lots of supervised playtime.  Finn enjoys playing with kids, but would prefer to live with kids old enough to understand his playful, jumpy nature.  He enjoys the company of most other dogs but would be a little too much to live with any cats.  A handsome, happy dog like this would be a great addition to your family so stop by to say hello soon!

More dogs and cats are available at the Naperville Area Humane Society. All the animals have been examined for health and temperament, started on their vaccines and microchipped. They are spayed or neutered at adoption. Hours are 5 to 8 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Visit at 1620 W. Diehl Rd. in Naperville or online at www.napervilleareahumanesociety.org.

Bailey has been at since July and is a 1-1/2 year old domestic short hair/dilute tortoiseshell mix.  She is affectionate, although not fond of being picked up. She DOES still love pets and head butts from her human companionship and she does get along with other cats.  She is not to big, not to small — she is just the right size and is waiting for you in the Sun Room.  Come and meet her!

A.D.O.P.T. rescued Tyler from a kill shelter.  Tyler is a 10-month-old terrier mix.  He is quite unique looking with his pint-size frame and smooth brindle coat.  Tyler is very friendly with other dogs as well as humans.  He is an active little guy who is good with children.  Tyler is also housetrained.

For more information about any of the cats and dogs we have available for adoption, please contact A.D.O.P.T. Pet Shelter at 630-355-2299.  The shelter is a no-kill, nonprofit, animal shelter at 420 Industrial Drive, Naperville.  Visit us at www.adoptpetshelter.org.
