Park District Toys for Tots Collection a Huge Success

The Naperville Park District Park Police joined the renowned Toys for Tots effort again this holiday season and the results were tremendous, thanks to community support.

For just over three weeks, the Park District hosted six Toys for Tots drop-off locations:  Park District’s Administration Building, 320 W. Jackson Ave.; Park District’s Planning Office, 425 W. Jackson Avenue; Santa House, at the corner of Jackson Avenue and Webster Street on the Naperville Riverwalk; the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, 305 W. Jackson Ave.; the Barn Recreation Center, 421 W. Martin Ave and the South Maintenance Facility, 3415 Book Rd.

The Park Police made five delivery runs due to the large number of toys that were donated this year.  The amount of toys easily exceeded the eight contractor-sized bags filled with donated toys that were received last year.
