Prep Fans Pick Game of the Year

With the exciting 2011 high school football regular season in the books, the CN100 Game of the Week wants fans to help select its Game of the Year.

The Game of the Week crew covered 18 games around Chicagoland this year and has narrowed the field down to the five best. Now, you can select the CN100 Game of the Year by going to www.cn100.tv/game_of_the_week  and casting your vote. The poll will continue until Nov. 20. The winner will be featured in a special rebroadcast in November.

The five games are:

Carmel vs. Joliet Catholic (played 8/26/11) - JCA wins season opener 32-31 completing a 75-yard TD pass play with 35 seconds left in the game.

Larkin vs. Elgin (played 9/24/11) - Larkin take back the Town Jug with a 22-21 victory as Elgin cannot pull off a 2-pt conversion with 12 seconds remaining.

Lyons Township vs. York (played 10/7/11) - Lyons wins 29-27 as Kicker Jake Elliot nails a 47-yard FG as time expires in Elmhurst.

(played 10/14/11) - The kept their post season dreams alive as they exploded for 21 fourth-quarter points to win the Wes Spencer Classic 36-26.

Crete-Monee vs. Rich East (played 10/22/11) - The Warriors pick off the Rockets final pass attempt in the end zone to secure a 20-13 win and their first undefeated regular season since 1952.
