The Sockers FC Chicago and CFJ, Inc. have joined forces and will operate a club under the Sockers FC banner servicing thousands of competitive soccer players in Chicago’s south, west and northern suburbs.
Sockers FC Chicago operates in Crystal Lake/McHenry, Palatine/Schaumburg and now in Naperville/Wheaton, with players from over 100 different communities. With the merger, the Sockers FC President, David Richardson, “is thrilled to provide the highest level of opportunity to soccer players in all of the Chicagoland area.” The Sockers organization is the only club to offer both ECNL competition for high school girls and U.S. Academy competition for high school boys. The merger of the clubs will provide the highest level of training for soccer players from U7-23, including programs such as Top Talent andpreparation for College and Professional Soccer as well as help with players’ placement into these levels. The Club also offers Men’s and Women’s teams and over-30 Alumni teams.
Trey Bradberry, CFJ, Inc. Director of Coaching, will transition into the same role with the new Sockers organization in Naperville/Wheaton. “We have spent many hours working with the Sockers FC staff to ensure we move forward with the best interests of our players. The new partnership allows us to provide the highest level of opportunity for all of our girls and boys while maintaining our core values. I’m confident that this merger will provide better opportunities for our players and staff.”
