Aurelio's On Springbrook Square Will Serve Last Slice June 30

NAPERVILLE, IL — It's been just over 12 years since the Aurelio's opened at 1275 Springbrook Square Drive in Naperville. In what owners Celeste and Steve Wagner are calling a "very difficult and emotional decision," the pizzeria will close for good at the end of June, according to an announcement shared Monday.

In the open letter posted to Facebook, the Wagners wrote that "[t]he current business climate has been rough and volatile for the restaurant industry." They also cited "post-pandemic inflation," which they say brought "unforeseen hurdles" that left it "impossible" to keep the restaurant open.

The Wagners also thanked their diners and employees for their support over the years. "We are grateful for your continued support and loyalty; you and our team are the direct reason for our success as we are truly honored to have served you," they wrote.

Aurelio's on Springbrook Square is set to close for good on June 30, just over 12 years since their grand opening on June 22, 2012.
