Avocado Theory Eyes Spring Opening In Naperville
Nearly every dish at the Tinley Park-based eatery features avocados as a base. They plan to open the Naperville store at 22 W. Chicago Ave.
NAPERVILLE, IL — Avocado deviled eggs, avocado samosas, avocado banana pancakes, avocado chicken flatbread, avocado fettucine alfredo and avocado cheesecake. If you're sensing a theme, then you might have gleaned why the Tinley Park-based eatery opening in Naperville this spring calls itself Avocado Theory.
According to the Downtown Naperville Alliance, Avocado Theory will be located at 22 E. Chicago Ave. in the plaza that's home to Fat Rosie's, Penzey's Spices and Rosebud.
Krunal Patel, the founder of Avocado Theory first started selling homemade guacamole in 2019 after he noticed the demand for guacamole at a grocery store where he worked as a produce manager. Patel opened the doors to the Avocado Theory in Tinley Park in October 2021.

With the health benefits of avocados in mind, Patel fashioned a menu that centers on the fruit, from the lemon avocado pound cake to the creamy avocado tuscan salmon. Avocado Theory also has a food truck to help deliver avocado-based goodness on the go.
The restaurant's Facebook page has teased a spring opening. In the meantime, the team at Avocado Theory is having fun drumming up interest in the new location, including a recent reel showing several "avocados" exploring downtown Naperville and the Riverwalk.
