Babysitter Found Not Guilty Due To Insanity In Lisle Stabbing: Report

NAPERVILLE, IL — A Naperville babysitter was found not guilty due to insanity in the Nov. 2023 stabbing of two girls in Lisle. Jennifer Kouchoukos, 52, was acquitted on charges of attempted first-degree murder and aggravated battery Friday, according to Daily Herald.

Kouchoukos had been accused of stabbing a 1-year-old girl and a 4-year-old girl in the 1900 block of Matson Lane on Nov. 17, 2023. Police say Kouchoukos had stabbed them repeatedly in the chest and back.

Prosecutors said Kouchoukos and the children were covered in blood when police arrived. Both children survived the stabbing.

The Daily Herald reports that a psychiatrist who evaluated Kouchoukos had reported that she stabbed the children after hearing an auditory hallucination.
