Bestselling Author To Cut Ribbon For Barnes & Noble Grand Opening In Naperville
The much-anticipated Barnes & Noble at 9 Jackson Ave. is set to welcome its first guests April 23.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville will herald the opening of its Barnes & Noble store on April 23 with a visit from New York Times bestselling author Mary Kubica. The author will cut the store's ceremonial ribbon and be on hand to sign copies of her most recent book, "Sorry Not Sorry."
The new Barnes & Noble store will occupy 12,000 square feet of space at 9 Jackson Ave. that was once home to Pottery Barn. In addition to books and other media, the store will have a cafe space.
The opening comes just over a year after the Barnes & Noble at 45 E. Chicago Ave. closed.

"We closed our doors at the old location when our lease expired and have been in search of a new location," Janine Flanigan, VP, Store Planning & Design, said in December. "This location allows us to come back to the Naperville community, and we could not be more excited."
“We are very happy to return to Naperville, where for 25 years we were a community staple,” said Barnes & Noble CEO James Daunt said in a statement
