Birkenstock's Naperville Store Opens Just In Time For Summer
The Naperville store holds the distinction of being Birkenstock's first storefront in the midwestern United State.
NAPERVILLE, IL — Birkenstock, the world-renowned shoe brand that got its humble start in Germany 250 years ago, recently opened its flagship midwestern U.S. storefront in Naperville.
The store held its grand opening Saturday at 20 West Jefferson Ave. in the downtown area right next to Sorella di Francesca. Throughout the United States, Birkenstock products can be found in department stores, but the company has fewer than 20 storefronts in the states, according to Downtown Naperville Alliance.
Shoppers will be able to browse Birkenstock's famous leather sandals, shoes, boots and more. Each style is designed with the wearer's comfort in mind, taking a cue from founder Johann Adam Birkenstock's practice of working to accommodate the physiology of the human foot, according to the company's site.

According to the Downtown Naperville Alliance website, the Birkenstock store will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
