Body Found In Water At Burlington Park Forest Preserve: PD

NAPERVILLE, IL — A body was found in the water Saturday at the Burlington Park Forest Preserve in Naperville, police said.

The Naperville Police Department told Patch that the body was recovered Saturday afternoon.

According to the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, at about 2:56 p.m., Forest Preserve District of DuPage County officers were dispatched to Burlington Park Forest Preserve in Naperville for a death investigation.

The individual's identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, officials said. The investigation is ongoing.

"There is currently no known threat to the public," a representative of the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County said.

Naperville Police added that the investigation was turned over to the DuPage County Forest Preserve District Police.
