Candidate for Will County Circuit Court Clerk Hosting Campaign Kick Off

Marlene Carlson, a Will County resident and a Republican running for the Will County Circuit Court Clerk will be hosting a campaign kick off event in Joliet tonight. 

Carlson announced her candidacy in August. She is a small business owner and a lead computer systems engineer/analyst. With her technology background, Carlson said she believes that the court system should use technology to cut costs and increase efficiency.

“Our Circuit Clerk website should be more than just an electronic brochure,” Carlson said in a news release.  “This site should be fully functional to handle the majority of the Court’s business without being required to visit the Courthouse. This would save the Will County Taxpayer time and money. We could be providing this convenience to the public to file legal cases, orders of protection, paying traffic tickets, court fees, and more.”

Carlson’s campaign kick-off event will be Thursday from 5-8pm at Thayer’s, 158 North, Joliet.
