NAPERVILLE, IL — An unattended candle caused a fire to start in the kitchen of a home in Naperville, according to the city's fire department.

Fire crews were called to a two-story townhouse in the 2800 block of Ledgestone Drive around 2 p.m. after a neighbor saw smoke coming from the residence. When firefighters got to the scene, they forced entry and put out the small fire with an extinguisher.

No one was hurt in the fire, which caused about $5,000 in damage to the house.
