NAPERVILLE, IL — A West Chicago man faces felony charges after police say he sold cocaine to undercover police officers in downtown Naperville on two separate occasions.

Jeremy Soto, 29, was charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance in connection with the incidents.

According to police, Soto sold 2.5 grams of cocaine to an undercover police officer on May 6 in downtown Naperville. On Monday, police say Soto sold 27.9 grams of cocaine to an undercover cop downtown and was arrested shortly after.

Soto is accused of having 21 baggies containing a total of 20 grams of cocaine when he was taken into custody.

“Any day we are able to get a suspected drug dealer off the streets is a good day for DuPage County,” DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said in a statement.

Berlin added, “Drug dealers care nothing for their victims, society or the rule of law. They care only about lining their pockets at the expense of others."

Soto is being held at DuPage County Jail and is set to appear in court on June 10.
