Comedian Amy Schumer Cancels Naperville Visit

Comedian Amy Schumer's planned Saturday appearance at Anderson's Bookstore in Naperville has been canceled.

One of Schumer's representatives told the Daily Herald she will not be attending due to illness. She was set to sign copies of her new book, "The Girl With the Lower Back Tattoo," at the ticketed event starting at 2 p.m. on Aug. 20. Refunds will be given to those who already purchased admission, reps said.

"The cancellations come as Schumer sought to reassure fans Thursday that her Comedy Central series 'Inside Amy Schumer' is not canceled, but on hiatus," reported the Chicago Tribune.
