Cops Increase Patrols To Target Drunk Drivers In Naperville
The holiday enforcement campaign will run through Jan. 2.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville police will ramp up patrols ahead of New Year's Eve in an effort to discourage drunk and impaired driving.
The initiative is part of the statewide "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" and "Click It or Ticket" campaigns.
Police recommend taking the following steps for a safer holiday:

- Designate a sober driver
- Call a taxi
- Use a rideshare service
- Don't let friends drive drunk or impaired
- Report impaired drivers
- Wear a seatbelt
“This season, let’s make safety our shared priority,” Naperville Police Sgt. Derek Zook said in a statement. “If you plan to drink or use impairing substances, plan ahead for a sober ride home. Driving impaired isn’t just dangerous – it’s illegal and potentially deadly. We’ll be out in full force, and no excuses will be accepted.”
