Cops Urge Residents To Drive Sober On St. Patrick's Day

Naperville police will increase patrols during the St. Patrick's Day holiday, focusing on preventing impaired driving.

NAPERVILLE, IL — As St. Patrick's Day approaches, Naperville police are urging residents not to drive impaired.

“Because St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Sunday this year, we anticipate that alcohol consumption will increase both that day and throughout the weekend,” Naperville Police Sgt. Derek Zook said in a statement.

Zook added, “We ask everyone to celebrate responsibly, starting with a plan for a sober ride home before you leave the house.”
