Crack-Cocaine Seized During Traffic Stop In Naperville: Police

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville police arrested a 44-year-old man after they say they found crack-cocaine inside his car during a traffic stop. The man, identified as Erskine Wheeler, of Harvey, is also accused of having more than 20 grams of crack-cocaine on him while he was being booked at the police station.

Officers pulled Wheeler over near the intersection of Diehl and Raymond for committing "multiple traffic violations," a news release said. Police say they found .1 grams of crack-cocaine in Wheeler's car, which prompted them to place him under arrest.

At the police station, officers reported finding 21.1. grams of crack-cocaine on Wheeler.

In addition to traffic infractions, Wheeler was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
