DUI Charges For Naperville Driver Who Hit Light Pole In Oswego: Cops

Police say Michael Beese was driving with a revoked license for driving under the influence when he was involved in a DUI crash Tuesday.

NAPERVILLE, IL — A Naperville driver was arrested at the hospital after police say he was under the influence when of alcohol he drove into a light pole and veered into a ditch in Oswego Tuesday morning.

Michael Beese was charged with aggravated driving under the influence for a third or subsequent time and driving under the influence after driving privileges were revoked for a driving under the influence violation. Beese faces additional charges of illegal transport of alcohol by a driver, driving with a revoked license and improper lane usage.

According to police, Beese hit a light pole and crashed into a ditch near the intersection of Routes 34 and 30 around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. He was taken to a local hospital and treated for injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening.

Beese had been taken to the Kendall County Jail, with his detention hearing set for Wednesday.
