Elderly Pedestrian Receives Life-Threatening Injuries After Being Struck Late Wednesday Night
A 77-year-old woman walking along Ogden Avenue was struck by a car driven by a Lisle man.

Police have identified a woman who was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle late Wednesday night.
Dixie J. Dix, 77, of the Naperville area, received life-threatening injuries after being hit while she was walking along Ogden Avenue. Initially police did not know her identity because she did not have any identification with her.

She was taken to and remains in critical condition in the intensive care unit, according to a news release from the .
A 911 call was made at about 10:09 p.m. stating that a vehicle had hit a pedestrian at Ogden and Sherman avenues, according to police. Both the Naperville Police Department and responded to the scene. Responders found an elderly woman who had been hit by a vehicle in the roadway.

An initial investigation showed that Dix was on Ogden Ave. when she was struck by a dark colored 2000 Acura Integra that was traveling eastbound on Ogden Avenue in the curb lane, according to police. The driver of the vehicle, Richard Sohn, 49, of Lisle was not injured in the accident. Since the accident is still under investigation, it is not known if charges may be filed against Sohn.
