Wentz, a local attorney, has served as a Naperville Township trustee as well as a Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce Legislative Committee Chairman. Coyne, who is also an attorney, serves on the Naperville Planning and Zoning Commission.
In a candidate questionnaire submitted to Patch, Wentz said his number one priority for Naperville is economic development.
"We need to insure that Naperville continues to attract new businesses and keep existing businesses here in Naperville," Wentz wrote in the questionnaire. "These efforts stabilize our local economy by maintaining a predictable flow of retail and food and beverage sales taxes revenues that also reduce our dependency on property taxes or cutting necessary services or staffing like has been occurring in other nearby municipalities. We also need to seek ways to fill empty commercial office space along the arterial roads throughout Naperville."
All four candidates will serve a two-year term.
