The Exchange Club of Naperville, in cooperation with the DuPage Child Abuse Prevention Coalition, Naperville School District 203, Indian Prairie School District 204 and Prevent Child Abuse Illinois, will present the 11th annual "Keeping Kids Safe" program at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29. The informative presentation "Pitfalls of Technology: from Sexing to Cyber-Bullying" will take place in Council Chambers of the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St. No registration is necessary.
Naperville Police Department Detective Rich Wistocki will discuss the issues of sexting and cyberbullying at this free program designed for parents only. Detective Wistocki will highlight recent occurrences of bullying that have lead to suicides and the legal ramifications of sexting. A panel of parents will be present to discuss their personal experiences of having their children victimized. Any parent whose child has access to a cell phone or computer should not miss this program.
