Public Safety Open House Oct. 2

The City of Naperville invites all residents to participate in the Public Safety Open House taking place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 2 at Naperville's Public Safety Campus, located at 1380 Aurora Avenue.

This popular annual event will feature a variety of activities for all ages, including hands-on fire extinguisher training, a forensics booth, the Kids Firefighter and Police Challenges, fire and crime prevention information, demonstrations, the Department of Public Utilities-Electric Powertown display and appearances by Sparky the Fire Dog and McGruff the Crime Dog.

A large display of fire and police vehicles and equipment will be on site. Special events include the Lifestar-Chicago Helicopter exercise and auto extrication scheduled to take place at 12:30 p.m. and the Naperville Fire Department's flashover room demonstration at 11 a.m.
