Felon Brought Loaded Gun To Naperville Bowling Alley On Black Friday: Officials
"Mr. Glover was in possession of a loaded firearm at a family-friendly recreation facility during an extremely busy holiday weekend."

NAPERVILLE, IL — A convicted felon faces multiple charges after he brought a loaded gun to a Naperville bowling alley on Black Friday, according to authorities.
Asante Glover, 35, of Chicago, will be detained pending trial for charges of unlawful possession of a gun by a repeat felon and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon with a prior conviction, authorities said.
“What I find particularly disturbing in this case is the allegation that Mr. Glover was in possession of a loaded firearm at a family-friendly recreation facility during an extremely busy holiday weekend,” DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin said in a news release. “Public safety remains the top priority of my administration and anyone accused of threatening public safety in DuPage County will quickly find themselves arrested, charged and prosecuted.”

Officers on patrol saw a gun sticking out from under the driver’s seat of Glover’s Mercedes SUV around 9 p.m. Friday at Lucky Strike Naperville in the 1500 block of Aurora Avenue, according to the state’s attorney’s office. Later that night, around 11:30 p.m., Glover left the bowling alley and entered the Mercedes, and officers approached him, authorities said.
Glover exited the vehicle and officers found a loaded Glock 45 handgun with a bullet in the chamber and a fully loaded magazine, as well as about 10 extra rounds protruding from under the driver’s seat, according to authorities, who said Glover was taken into custody.
