Fire Causes $15K In Damage To Garage Of Naperville Home

NAPERVILLE, IL — A fire damaged the garage of a home in the 1800 block of Princess Circle in Naperville Wednesday afternoon.

Firefighters were contacted just before 3 p.m. with a report of a fire and arrived at the home to find the attached garage was ablaze. Fire crews were able to contain the flames within less than 10 minutes, according to a news release.

It was determined that the fire started in a trash can that was in the garage. No residents or firefighters were hurt in the blaze, which caused an estimated $15,000 in damage. The home was deemed to be habitable.
