NAPERVILLE, IL — A five-story condo building in Naperville was evacuated Sunday night after a fire broke out.

Firefighters were called to the 100 block of S. Washington Street just before 8 p.m. after flames were seen coming from the roof of the condo building. Crews drew hose lines up the stairs and used an aerial ladder to battle the blaze as residents were evacuated.

The fire was extinguished just after 8:30 a.m. No one was hurt in the blaze, which is estimated to have caused $20,000 in damage to the building.

No cause had been determined as of Monday afternoon, but a news release from the Naperville Fire Department said a restaurant vent stack in the building may have contributed to the fire.
