Fire Leaves Naperville Home Uninhabitable: Fire Department
Officials said the resident came home to find the house filled with smoke.

NAPERVILLE, IL — A Naperville home is uninhabitable after a Friday night house fire caused $100,000 in damages, officials said.
According to the Naperville Fire Department, a resident arrived at their Tuscany Lane home to find the house filled with smoke. After receiving a 911 call just after 8:30 p.m., Naperville firefighters arrived at the home and found heavy black smoke coming from the garage door of the two-story house.
Firefighters made their way inside, finding "a large volume of fire" in the kitchen.

By 8:49 p.m., the fire was declared under control, officials said. Crews remained at the scene for another 30 minutes to ensure all hot spots were extinguished.
Naperville police assisted firefighters at the scene.

No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
