Front Street Cantina Closes In Downtown Naperville: Reports

NAPERVILLE, IL — Front Street Cantina in Naperville has closed its doors for good, according to reports. The Mexican eatery served guests at its location on Jefferson Avenue for more than 30 years.

The restaurant specialized in traditional Mexican cuisine, from tacos and burritos to carne asada suiza and Yucatan red pork. Diners also enjoyed margaritas from Front Street Cantina's extensive margarita list, which featured creative flavors like jalapeno, pomegranate and peach.

Live music was also a frequent draw at the beloved cantina.

After news of Front Street Cantina's closure was shared on the Facebook group "What's Happening in Naperville, IL?" customers shared their dismay in comments.

One customer named Ann W. wrote, "So incredibly sad they are closing."

The restaurant officially closed on Aug. 28.
