Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago & Northwest Indiana is Named A Finalist for the Chicago Innovation Awards

They need YOUR support! Help GSGCNWI win the People's Choice Award

Out of 315 nominees, Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana (GSGCNWI) has been selected as one of the Top 100 Finalists still in the running for the 24th annual Chicago Innovation Awards. The awards celebrate the most innovative new products and services in the Chicago region across all organization sizes, sectors and industries. Over 700 business and civic leaders will come together to honor the winners when they are announced on November 13th at the UIC Forum.

The traditional one-size-fits-all model for Girl Scouts no longer meets the evolving needs of today’s youth. GSGCNWI responded to shifting family priorities by centering programs around positive relationship development. Through community partnerships, we create safe spaces that prioritize support for girls and families. GSGCNWI is redefining its impact by aligning programs to a clear Theory of Change that focuses on measurable outcomes rather than participation statistics. By using data to track indicators like confidence and positive relationships, the organization is giving deeper value to girls.

As one of the Top 100 Finalists, GSGCNWI will receive a $2,500 scholarship to attend The Practical Innovator, a day-long executive education course on October 14th led by top faculty who teach innovation at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
