Glen Ekey Senior Amateur Championship Results

Springbrook and Naperbrook Golf Courses held the Glen Ekey Senior Amateur Championship on August 18 and 19 with 131 players participating in the 36-hole tournament. The tournament was named in honor of the late Glen Ekey, who served as executive director for the Naperville Park District from 1981-1996 and was a golf enthusiast. The Park District recently dedicated a commemorative plaque at Naperbrook Golf Course in honor of Glen Ekey.

The overall champion of the 2021 tournament was Vipul Patel, in the Senior Flight (ages 55-69) with a gross score of 143. Bob Trine was the Legend Flight (ages 70+) winner with a gross score of 149.

“We were happy to get back to a full field of players and 36-holes after the smaller event in 2020,” said Naperbrook Head Golf Professional Tim Dunn.
