Gun Seized After Driver Sped At 93 MPH In Naperville: Cops

NAPERVILLE, IL — An Aurora man faces felony charges after Naperville police say he sped at 93 mph, was pulled over and was found to be in possession of a gun with a defaced serial number.

Patrick Tagir Black, 20, of the 3100 block of Davey Court, was charged with speeding 35-plus miles per hour over the limit and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon in connection with the Dec. 18 incident.

Around 1:30 a.m. on the above date, police say they saw Black driving at 95 mph in a 45 mph zone near Modaff Road and 75th Street. Officers who arrested Black reported finding a handgun with its serial number defaced inside the pocket of the jacket he had left in the car.

Black was taken to DuPage County Jail. He is set to appear in court again Jan. 13.
