Naperville Park District and School District 203 partnered to improve athletic fields and courts

Naperville Park District will officially open the newly renovated park with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The following individuals are listed as speakers at the event:

  • Naperville Park District Executive Director Ray McGury – emcee
  • Naperville Park District Board President Mike Reilly
  • Naperville Community Unit School District 203 Board President Kristin Fitzgerald
  • Naperville Community Unit School District 203 Superintendent Dan Bridges

Over the past two years, the Park District and School District 203 worked together to plan and complete several improvements, including a varsity girls’ softball field, a synthetic turf athletic field, four pickleball courts, sports lighting, walkways, landscaping and a circle driveway.

Guests are asked to follow the Park District’s Outdoor Event Participation Guidelines found at https://www.napervilleparks.org/files/NPD_COVID-19_Phase_4_Participation_Guidelines_Outdoor_EventsV4.pdf.

The event begins at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 17. The ribbon cutting will be held at Knoch Park, located at 724 S. West Street. The ceremony will take place on or near the sidewalk southwest of the new circle drive. Limited parking is available at Knoch Central Maintenance Facility, located at 427 W. Martin Ave., with additional on-street parking along Martin Ave., at Naperville Central High School and at the Knoch Park parking lot located south of Martin Avenue along West Street.
