'Large-Scale Search' Of Forest Preserve Underway For Missing Naperville Woman

NAPERVILLE, IL — A "large-scale search" is underway at Springbrook Prairie Forest Preserve amid ongoing efforts to find Olasinmibo "Sinmi" Abosede, who has been missing since Wednesday morning.

Abosede was last seen around in the 2100 block of Sudbury Street around 9:20 a.m. Wednesday. She is described as a Black female with brown eyes and black hair. Abosede is 5 feet, six inches tall and weighs about 190 pounds, a news release said.

Monday's search began at 9 a.m. and involved K-9 teams and as many as 40 trained volunteers, according to an update from the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County.

Abosede was last seen on camera footage wearing grey sweatpants, a black Adidas jacket with long sleeves, a black scarf on her head and black Crocs. Police say the only possession Abosede has with her may be a white water bottle. According to police, they do not suspect foul play.
