NAPERVILLE, IL — A summer evening stroll along the Naperville Riverwalk is often pleasantly underscored by the sounds of whippoorwills and the waters of the DuPage River gently lapping against the shore. This summer, those natural sounds will be accompanied by the distinctive notes of opera arias, live cello music, folk tunes and more for the new River Sounds series.

The River Sounds experience begins with live bands stationed at Jaycees Park, then the air fills with the sounds of artists performing a cappella from a boat tethered on the river after twilight.

With a rotating roster of performers, River Sounds is "designed to add something unexpected to your evening," according to the Downtown Naperville Alliance website.
