Lotus Banh Mi Opens Naperville Location

The restaurant serves Vietnamese cuisine at 206 S. Washington.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Lotus Banh Mi is now open in downtown Naperville. The Vietnamese eatery makes its home at 206 S. Washington St. between Ichido Ramen and Pottery Bayou.

Lotus Banh Mi's menu offers a variety of pho, noodle salads, rice bowls, and, of course, banh mi. Diners can opt for honey-grilled pork, ginger chicken and other meat-based banh mi. Vegetarians and vegans can choose the Veggiecado, a banh mi sandwich topped with crispy tofu, tomato, avocado, soy sauce and sweet chili.

The rice bowls include a gluten-free curry chicken bowl, a beef rice bowl, a soy-glazed tofu bowl and a curry tofu bowl. Lotus Banh Mi serves up a trio of pho options, including a tofu pho made with bone broth.

Founded by two UIC alumna who longed for Vietnamese cuisine near the college's campus, Lotus Banh Mi focuses on using natural ingredients and making their cuisine from scratch, according to their website. In addition to the Naperville location, Lotus Banh Mi has five other locations throughout the greater Chicago area.

The Naperville restaurant is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
